Softech Separator Filters operate on the principle that particles heavier than water (sand, silt, etc.) are separated from water within the centrifugal force created within the filter and are used to remove particles of around 70-110 µ (microns) from water with high efficiency. Particles removed from water are directed to the reservoir at the bottom of the filter and discharged at regular intervals by a manual or automated drain valve.
Separator filters are usually recommended for use on well output pipes or at raw water tank entries. These are available in stainless steel or epoxy painted carbon steel body material, depending on the needs of the customer.
