Softech Sand Filters are used to clean the water from particles, suspended solids and other particles that cause turbidity in the water. The system works on the principle that the water is filtrated through the natural treatment minerals of different sizes inside the filter tank. The dirtiness held between filter layers are removed from the system through time-controlled or differential pressure-controlled backwash system, ensuring that the sand filter keeps working with high performance.
Sand Filters can be used to treat underground and surface water, as well as to filter water obtained from wastewater treatment systems. In order to achieve the desired performance, the system must be designed with correct filtration velocity, treatment minerals with the appropriate granulometry must be used and the infrastructure for a healthy backwash must be established.
