Softech Deionization Systems purify water by removing anions and cations using ion exchange resins.
In deionization systems, the unit that removes anion ions is known as the anion exchanger, whereas the unit that removes cation ions is known as the cation exchanger. This means that the system is comprised of two resin columns. Once each resin column is saturated, it is regenerated with suitable chemicals to renew the resins. During regeneration, the anionic resin renews itself using a caustic chemical, whereas the cationic resin uses an acidic chemical.
Reverse Osmosis Systems can be used as an alternative for resin deionization systems. The right solution is chosen in accordance with water quality and customer requirements.
